WalkingFit would like to welcome you to join us as we train for a variety of races in Canada and possibly around the world. Each race is unique and has been chosen with you in mind. We have chosen events that offer a reasonable time limit to allow walkers to compete. Racing is a great way to set a goal. This goal can be to simply finish an event or to push yourself harder. The training is a way of getting together with friends to improve your fitness and well-being and focus on a common goal. If you are interested in a specific race please contact us for information about what to expect and how to prepare. For a half marathon we recommend 12 to 20 weeks of training and for a 10 km race we recommend 5-8 weeks. click on any event to be taken to their website. Note: many races have price increases at several intervals in the months and weeks leading up to the events so check back regularly if you are contemplating registering for an event.
